Iron ore processing plant:
Over the past few years, world consumption of iron ore grows 10% per annum on average with the main consumers being China, Japan, Korea, the United States, the European Union and Malaysia.
Processsing of the iron ore includes crushing and screening. 40% of the iron ore produced is in the form of lumps which is subjected to crushing. SBM Machinery can offer crushing machine of 1000 TPH capacity. Crushing, screening, grinding equipment manufactured by SBM Machinery operated in physical iron ore beneficiation plant.
The iron ore produced from the mine is transported to the crushing and dry screening at the crusher plant for the final product recovery. The crushed ore is passed through vibrato ring screens to yield three products namely +30 mm, -30 mm to +10 mm and -10 mm sizes.
The run-of-mine is subjected to gravity size separation at we pit for removal of fines and the oversize is transported to beneficiary plant for crushing. The crushed ore is passed through vibratory yield three products namely +35 mm; -35 to +10 mm and -10 mm +35 mm product is recycled to secondary crusher for -30 mm to +10 & - 10 mm. Thus only two final products are produced. The iron ore of greater than +10 mm (with greater than 64-67 content) as per consumers requirement is supplied to MMTC and -1 fines (> 64% Fe) to Cement plants of Andhra Pradesh.

Final iron ore products
- Lump ore: Coarse material sifted from crushed ROM ore (run-of-mine – the raw mined material), of variable maximum size.
- Sinter feed: Fine iron powder. In order to be able to use it in a steelmaking furnace, it is agglomerated to form sinter.
- Pellet feed: Super-fine powder with high levels of iron and low levels of impurities. To be used in a furnace, it needs to go through a pelletizing process.
