Dry recycling can be pre-separated waste or mixed dry waste. This recyclable waste can include glass, paper, plastics, wood, metals and other materials.
Processing of these materials reduces the volume that is sent to landfill, providing both environmental and economic benefits. Processing this material also provides a saleable product.
SBM Machinery have extensive experience in Dry Recycling Equipment Manufacturing. We are able to offer a full range of equipment for most types of dry waste.
Circular Vibratory Screens:
Screening is an important step in the processing of bulk materials. SBM Machinery manufactures classical screening machinery. Circular vibratory screens are flexible drive screens, work on the ejection principle and execute a circular movement.
Areas of application included: hard screening tasks in all weather conditions;, fine to large separation sizes up to approx. 300 mm; damp, dry and wet processing; building materials; industrial minerals; salts; ores; coal and steel industry the recycling industry.
Our fully automated construction and demolition (C&D) debris and soil / aggregate / concrete / asphalt recycling equipment has enabled Terrasan to provide cost-efficient sustainable recycling opportunities for our clientele on their project sites. All waste material produced through the interior and exterior demolition process as well as from the construction of new facilities can be sorted and separated and recycled on the project site and transported to appropriate disposal/recycling facilities. This includes soil, aggregates, concrete, construction & demolition (C&D) debris as well as ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals. In addition, all nonhazardous impacted soil including inorganic and organic contaminants can be remediated through various remedial strategies to produce a soil of suitable quality for backfilling purposes.
Construction & Demolition Waste Recycling:
Construction waste consists of unwanted material produced directly or incidentally by the construction and demolition industries. This waste includes building materials such as insulation, nails, electrical wiring, and rebar, as well as waste originating from site preparation such as dredging materials, tree stumps, and rubble. Construction waste may contain lead, asbestos, or other hazardous substances.
Much building waste is made up of materials such as bricks, concrete and wood damaged or unused for various reasons during construction. Observational research has shown that this can be as high as 10-15% of the materials that go into a building, a much higher percentage than the 2.5-5% usually assumed by quantity surveyors and the construction industry. Since considerable variability exists between construction sites, there is much opportunity for reducing this waste.
Certain components of construction waste such as plasterboard are hazardous once landfilled. Plasterboard is broken down in landfill conditions releasing hydrogen sulfide, a toxic gas.
There is the potential to recycle many elements of construction waste. Often roll-off containers are used to transport the waste. Rubble can be crushed and reused in construction projects. Waste wood can also be recovered and recycled.
Government or local authorities often make rules about how much waste should be sorted before it is hauled away to landfills or other waste treatment facilities. Some hazardous materials may not be moved before the authorities have ascertained that safety guidelines and restrictions have been followed. Among their concerns would be the proper handling and disposal of such toxic elements as lead, asbestos or radioactive materials.
Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) Recycling:
Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) is the residue from Incinerators after the burning process. Even though great heat is used a percentage of wood, paper and other light weight materials remain unburned. When IBA is processed these materials need removing to leave a better quality Aggregate.
The main value in processing the IBA is the metal. This comes in three forms, Ferrous which is removed by a Magnet, Non Ferrous, which is removed using an Separator.
The IBA can be dry screened or washed; this is down to customer preference. The main benefit of washing this material is producing a better quality, cleaner Aggregate that will achieve a higher price.
SBM Machinery are experienced in installing both types of IBA processing plants. In recent years, successful projects are excellent examples of dry screening and washing plants, respectively.
Composting Recycling:
Much of the biodegradable waste is disposed of in landfill sites, instead of through green waste recycling and composting. Landfilled green waste cannot decompose naturally. It therefore fills up valuable ground space and worse still, releases toxic gases such as methane.
Green waste recycling process result in a nutrient rich compost that can be spread back on the land as feed for the soil, recycling the nutrients, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Those that offer composting recycling services area able to charge for the disposal of the waste; once the waste product has been processed they are left with a saleable product.
SBM Machinery supply a large range of screens which are perfectly suited to screening moist, sticky materials.
Sand Screws:
You can count on Fine Material Dewatering Screws to help you turn material washing problems into profitable solutions and meet the specification demands for multiple sand products. Manufactured for years of dependable, operator-friendly service, SBM sand washers and dewatering screws allow producers to wash a broader range of spec aggregate product sizes.
Sand washing plant:
Sand washing plant is a new mobile wash plant that brings together for the first time rinsing, screening, scrubbing and sand washing capabilities on a single transportable chassis. Primarily designed for the processing of construction & demolition waste but equally suited to virgin material applications.
The Sand washing plant is capable of producing 4 grades of aggregate and a single grade of sand at up to 60 tonnes per hour.
SBM Machinery is the pioneer in the construction of mobile recycling plants with more than 1 decades of experience. Mineral materials such as masonry, removed steel reinforced concrete and broken out road materials made from asphalt or concrete are added processed using suitable process technology to form high-quality recycled construction materials and are then reused. This saves increasingly scarce construction material resources greatly.
